Yoga
An ancient system promoting health and longevity. Wisdom combined with the experience of movement (asana) bridged by breath (pranayama) creates balance of the Mind, Body and Spirit to strengthen the will and integrate the emotions.
I. Traditional {ie. Kripulu} ~ focuses on proper body alignment and the use of breathing techniques. Yoga from the heart. Great for beginners.
II. Moderate {Hatha} ~ releases stress and body fatigue while calming the central nervous system. Explores deeper into the postures.
III. Vigorous {ie Astanga} ~ enhances flexibility and cardiovascular strength through flowing postures that induces sweat, flushing out impurities.
IV. Hot Yoga {ie Bikram} ~ In a heated room, the body becomes warm and safely flexible. Systematically working muscles, organs, veins and ligaments for a great detox.
All Yoga classes are 90 minutes and include relaxation and meditation; a full experience.
Pilates
A method of exercise and physical movement performed on traditional apparatus, the reformer. Enhances postural integrity and torso stability through the strengthening of deep abdominal and back muscles (power house conditioning). Instead of isolating specific muscle groups, the entire body is integrated.
I. Intro ~ for first time attendants. Elemental and fundamentals (30 min)
II. Pilates ~ core pilates on the Calm Pilates Reformer (60 min)
III. Advanced Pilates ~ moves quickly and includes jumping (90 min)
IV. Mat Pilates ~ classic pilates movements on the mat (60 min)
V. Pilates for Men ~ Designed for the male body (60 min)
VI. Private Restorative Pilates ~ Pilates movements tailored to restore strength, an alternative for physical therapy to heal the body. (60 min)
Qi-Gong
The art and science of experiencing breath, movement, mind and meditation; to cleanse, strengthen and circulate the blood igniting the body’s immune system. Qi is the energy that flows through the body like blood flows through the veins. When Qi (energy) is abundant and flows freely, a natural state of balance and good health prevails. Qi-Gong sessions are 60 minutes and range from light to moderate exertion.
Kirtan
A traditional method of experiencing the aspects of a deeper self through vibration and resonance (chanting and singing) and by utilizing ancient mantras and sutras.
Meditation
An ancient and proven process which integrates the Mind, Body and Emotions to create beneficial results in a vast range of conditions from asthma to hypertension. Enhances the immune system, reduces stress and manages pain.
Trance Spirit Dance
The Dance of Life is about searching for one’s meaning rather than the data and dogma thru drumming, music and movement. Feminine energy was grounded on earth 40,000 years ago before his-Story. The Dance combines the use of the teacher and resonance to create an environment for Self Managed Evolution.
Zen Cycling
High intensity exercise on a stationary cycle that uses coaching and music to simulate actual bicycle rides. Riders synchronize pedaling with the rhythm of music to enhance cardiovascular stimulation and stamina. Followed by Yoga stretches and relaxation.
